Amazing shots! Thanks for sharing your adventures and expertise.
Hi,
Great captures, in particular “Green Heron with Dragonfly at Brazos Bend State Park, Texas. Photo taken at Elm Lake.”
Do you know if this is a case of bait fishing behavior?
If yes, could you contact me on my email, please?
I’m conducting a scientific research on this behavior.
Thank you for your reply.
Regards,
Michel
Really great bird photography Chris. Keep up the good work. Welcome to the world of birding too, you could’ve knocked me over with a feather. Its a great pastime even for paleos. I miss our old days at the museum, Take care, doug
Hey Doug:
Great to hear from you! I miss our conversations back in the systematic collections, too. I concur: birding is a fantastic hobby, and I enjoy it about as much as anything I’ve ever done. I especially like photographing wader hunting behavior year round and warblers during migrations. This AM I watched a Green Heron go fishing with an aquatic leaf beetle as bait at Brazos Bend State Park. Hope you’re doing well and seeing some wildlife. Cheers, Chris
